news and exhibitions

You can see my work exhibited at the following places:

Driftwood Spars Pub (Restaurant), Trevaunance Cove St Agnes.
This fabulous and much loved pub & brewery requested an exhibition of my work for their gorgeous restaurant. The colours and subject of the work sits so happily in their with stunning views out to sea.
Its proved popular with many people purchasing straight off the wall after their meal or stay. The staff loved working among it and didn't want it to go so a rotating exhibition of my framed prints & originals are currently there for you to see. And purchase (cash).

Taphouse this local legend of a Bar and eatery currently shows my Midnight Mackerel.

Rose in Vale Hotel, Mithian shows several of my works in its many rooms and walk ways.

Several local people who have bought large originals from me are happy for you to view the artwork in their homes by appointment. Chat with me when you visit the studio.

A write up on St Agnes Marine Conservation Group website after I was inspired to create new works in my series 'Its Another world Down There' by their fabulous talks which revealed more of the beautiful underwater ecosystem off Trevaunance Cove. Thanks folks. Keep up the fab work you do to celebrate and conserve our special coastline.

Jo Polack Studio Gallery
Exciting breaking news! A new, rather lovely, studio gallery for me in Peterville, St Agnes for 2014 following a successful 'pop up' here. Look out for the phone box opposite No 4 restaurant & Taphouse

This new studio gallery is an unusual and exciting space which enables me to hang my work more creatively and have room to make my larger pieces. Come and visit. Open Tues - Fridays plus 1st Sat month & others by arrangement.

Woods, Wings and What Lies Beneath!

New felt 'n' stitch hangings exhibited at Archie Browns, Kenwyn Street, Truro.
March & April 2013.

From tall ash to vibrant sea fans these hangings are a sample of work inspired by tree planting beside ancient woodland, bird motifs in textiles world wide and the truly astonishing world that exists just below our Cornish coastline.

Go on up, treat yourself to a yummy coffee and cake. Then let me know on facebook which hanging you like best and why!

See my sketchbook is online!

Yippeee: The Sketchbook Project, a great US 'touring visual library' has its digital pages. Go to click on digital library and enter Jo Polack in artist's name and UK in country. You should be able to have a virtual flick through my mini meanderings. I just ordered my sketchbook and got given a theme at random; really valuable to make me take a little art adventure journey I might not have otherwise taken! I painted - I hardly ever just draw and paint and it has led to a plan for a whole series of work around the stories of 1001 nights. Watch this space (for about a year!)

My Aggie Arts Felt Making Courses are going down a treat; book on one soon for a Crafty Cornish Break. Or contact Aggie Arts and we will tailor one to your exact requirements - dates, group number, length of course.

We were all so pleased with what we had learned and achieved. Jo was an amazing coach & mentor… excellent tuition throughout… and with humour & gentle encouragement. We hope to bring our youngest and 3rd sister next year for an Aggie Arts experience! Gina, via TripAdvisor
